When you or your organization make the commitment to sponsor a home, you're doing more than just building a house. You are changing lives. Your kindness can mean a little girl gets her very own bedroom for the first time, or that mom and dad no longer have to worry about faulty electrical wires and flooding. You are helping our homeowners build a foundation that leads to better lives. Not just for them, but for generations to come. This is a home where they will teach their children to walk, show them how to tie their shoes and send them off to college. Living in a safe and affordable home is not a luxury, it is a necessity. YOU can make the difference!

Ways to show your support:

  • Schedule a Team Build for your
    company or group

  • Volunteer for a Build Day, either individually, or with your church or civic group

  • Share our mission with friends and family

Tax Credit Facts

​​

  • Receive a credit equal to 50% of your donation. For example, a $2000 donation will result in a $1000 credit.

​

  • Individuals, couples, businesses and corporations who pay Indiana state taxes can claim these credits.

​

  • Donate with check or credit card, stock, or crypto. You can also donate land/real estate and building materials! Please contact us to donate land or materials.

  • Credits are limited, so take advantage of this opportunity soon.

Attainable Homeownership Tax Credit

Did you know your donation to Habitat Southeast could go even further? Through our Attainable Homeownership Tax Credit program, you can claim a tax credit equal to 50% of your gift, helping you reduce your state taxes while supporting affordable homeownership right here in our community.

You can claim up to $10,000 in tax credits per tax year, making it easier than ever to make a meaningful impact. Every dollar you give will enable us to build more homes and create better outcomes for more families.

How to Claim Your Credit

  1. Make your check payable to Habitat for Humanity of Indiana. In the memo line, specify Habitat Southeast.

  2. Download and fill out the Donor Contribution Form. ​

  3. Mail your check and contribution form to:

To donate with a credit card or to donate stock and crypto:

  1. Contact Executive Director Shelby Wilson at swilson@habitatsei.org to communicate your interest.

  2. Give online here. Be sure to include Habitat Southeast in the memo box.

  3. Fill out the Donor Contribution form and mail to the same address as above.
